Nigari – Easy to Make Fresh TOFU!
When Japanese agricultural workers emigrated to Hawaiiin 1868, they likely brought soybeans along with their traditional TOFU making skills. Nigari,cthe pure, natural, mineral rich liquid collected while making sea salt, was readily available in their new home. By 1891, Jihaci Shimada had launched the first recorded soy products company in the Hawaian Kingdom.
This bottle makes 60 cups of TOFU. All you need is Nigari and fresh soy milk. Ingrediants include filtered bitterns from 2,200 feet below the ocean surface in Kona.
